Sala Makala Cookstove Project

Serving as the starting point, the real-case VPA (GS23420) intends to contribute towards the goals of the PoA by distributing the “Sala Makala Stove,” a Top-Lit Up-Draft (TLUD) stove capable of combusting firewood more efficiently than traditional/3-stone biomass cookstoves across the Kasai, Kasai Central, and Kasai Oriental provinces. The project further aims to improve air quality and subsequently, household health, by reducing exposure to harmful smoke, as well as reducing fuelwood consumption with greater stove efficiency.
