The Future of Cooking in Emerging Countries

The project aims to support the energy transition and reduce charcoal consumption and related greenhouse gas emissions through the distribution of improved charcoal cookstoves and pellet gasifier cookstoves within local communities. By promoting the adoption of cleaner and more efficient cooking technologies, the project contributes to lowering fuel demand, improving energy efficiency, and reducing environmental and climate impacts associated with traditional cooking practices. In parallel, the project places strong emphasis on community empowerment by creating local employment opportunities, delivering technical and operational training, and investing in essential community infrastructure such as water towers and greenhouses. These activities are designed to strengthen local capacities, improve access to resources, and foster sustainable socio-economic development in the countries where the project is implemented.
