GS23301 VPA-1 Rwanda Clean Cookstoves project

The purpose of the VPA is to distribute Improved cookstoves in households and communities of Rwanda, Africa. The Improved cookstoves are distributed to households/institutions which were earlier using wood and/or charcoal on rudimentary stoves for cooking/boiling. The project makes the end-users energy efficient and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions otherwise resulting from the burning of large amount of non-renewable woody biomass and/or charcoal in baseline scenario. The project boundary is the geographical boundary of Rwanda, Africa where the Improved cookstoves are proposed to be distributed.
