GS23301 VPA-2 Rwanda Safe Water Filter project by SPOUTS

The purpose of the VPA is to distribute Safe water filters in households and communities of Rwanda, Africa. The water filters are distributed to households/institutions which were earlier using wood and/or charcoal on rudimentary stoves for boiling water or were using unsafe water directly without boiling. The project makes the end-users energy efficient and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions otherwise resulting from the burning of large amount of non-renewable woody biomass and/or charcoal in baseline scenario. The project boundary is the geographical boundary of Rwanda, Africa where the safe water filters are proposed to be distributed.
