Cova Safe Water Program in Central America
The Program of Activities, "Cova Safe Water Program in Central America" will provide safe water to rural communities in Central America with the first carbon project beginning in Honduras. Cova installs zero-emission water treatment technologies (in-line chlorination) to existing water supply systems. The resulting safe water replaces the need to burn non-renewable biomass in water boiling for purification of the water. This avoidance of fuel combustion reduces Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and contributes to climate change goals.
