US SecondCrop Microbial Carbon Removal (USSC25)

The US SecondCrop Project removes atmospheric CO₂ by applying CarbonBuilder, a patented fungal seed coating, to corn and soybean crops across US Midwest farmland. Root-associated fungi intercept plant-derived carbon and convert it into Mineral-Associated Organic Carbon (MAOC), physically bound to soil minerals and proven to persist for centuries. No land use change, new equipment, or altered crop rotations are required.
