Kocaeli Landfill Gas to Electricity Project

The aim of the project includes the collection of the landfill gas, made up of mostly methane and carbon dioxide, which is currently released to the atmosphere,and use it as fuel for electricity generation. The electricity generated by the project will be fed to the national grid, and will replace electricity which would otherwise be generated by fossil fuel fed power plants.
