Matafongo Solar Park
The Matafongo Solar Park project consists of the development of a 50 MWac photovoltaic facility located in Sabana Buey village, Peravia province, aimed at supplying renewable electricity to the national grid (SENI). The project is expected to generate approximately 118 GWh annually and reduce around 80,000 tCO₂e per year. It will contribute to climate change mitigation (SDG 13) and support access to affordable and clean energy (SDG 7). Additionally, it will promote economic growth and job creation (SDG 8), generating up to 350 jobs during construction and around 15 permanent positions during operation and maintenance.
