Electricity Generation from Bagasse in Aguaí

The objective of the project is to supply the national interconnected system of Bolivia with energy generated from renewable sources, thereby displacing generation sources that are more intensive in greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere. The majority of the electricity generated in Bolivia comes from plants that use natural gas as fuel. It is estimated that this mitigation project will generate approximately 209 GWh of clean energy per year, which will be delivered to Bolivia's national grid. This project will contribute to the sustainable development of the country, as well as provide stability to the region's electricity supply, thereby generating greater opportunities for industrial economic development.
