GS23399 VPA-1 Renewable Biomass Briquette Production for Clean Energy

The proposed project involves the production and supply of approximately 10,200 tonnes of biomass briquettes annually, with the objective of replacing conventional fossil fuels such as coal, furnace oil, and firewood that are commonly used by industries and institutions for thermal energy applications. The primary goal is to promote the use of clean, renewable, and sustainable biomass energy while reducing reliance on carbon-intensive fuels. These briquettes are manufactured using agricultural residues and other organic biomass waste, which are typically discarded or left to decompose, resulting in methane emissions and environmental degradation. By converting this waste into high-density fuel briquettes, the project addresses key environmental and economic challenges. It contributes to greenhouse gas emission reductions by displacing fossil fuels and preventing methane emissions from un-managed biomass waste.
