Darmen Shuak Wind Power Project
The Darmen Shuak Wind Power Project is a grid-connected onshore wind energy project located near Bekkul-baba village in the Almaty district of Aktobe city, Kazakhstan. The project comprises eight utility-scale wind turbines with a combined installed capacity of 50 MW, designed to harness the strong and stable wind resources of the Aktobe Region. The project is expected to generate approximately 150,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually and supply it to Kazakhstan’s national grid. By replacing fossil-fuel-based electricity generation, the project is estimated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by around 113,550 tCO₂e per year and contributes to national energy security, grid reliability, and Kazakhstan’s long-term clean energy transition.
