Next Green Energy Wind Power Project
The Next Green Energy Wind Power Project is a greenfield, grid-connected onshore wind Independent Power Project located near Bekkul-baba village in the Almaty district of Aktobe city, Aktobe Region, Kazakhstan. The project comprises eight utility-scale wind turbines (EN200/6.25), each rated at 6.25 MW, for a total installed capacity of 50 MW, together with a step-up substation, grid interconnection infrastructure, and associated access and site facilities. The project is expected to generate approximately 150,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually for delivery to Kazakhstan’s national electricity grid under a long-term power purchase agreement. By displacing fossil-fuel-based generation on the grid, the project is estimated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by around 113,550 tCO₂e per year and supports Kazakhstan’s renewable energy and long-term decarbonization objectives.
